TVS partners with Zomato for green deliveries, will deploy 10000 electric scooters in two years, all details here

TVS: TVS Company has backed Zomato in its efforts to deliver food to customers. Zomato and TVS Motor Company have collaborated or joined forces. As part of this collaboration, TVS Motors will supply Zomato with 10,000 iQube electric scooters. This will strengthen Zomato’s road towards electrification. Let me explain that Zomato is a food delivery service, and these new scooters will be highly beneficial to the business in terms of delivery. 50 electric scooters were given away by TVS to Zomato’s delivery partners during the event in Hyderabad. In a period of two years, Zomato will receive 10,000 iQube electric scooters from the company.

Six critical areas, including product, charging ecosystem, environmental goals, and digital linkages, will be covered by the partnership between TVS Motor and Zomato. According to a report with the exchange, TVS Motor Company entered the electric mobility market in 2020 and has since sold over 1 lakh EVs.

“With the success of TVS iQube Electric, we are expanding our electric offerings across multiple segments and last-mile delivery services stand at the opportune inflexion point towards faster adoption of EVs,” Manu Saxena, Senior Vice-President, Electric Vehicles, TVS Motor Company.

100% EV adoption

According to Rinshul Chandra, chief operating officer of Zomato, the company is focusing on switching to 100% electric cars by 2030 and is the first food ordering and delivery platform to join Climate Group’s EV100 Campaign. The business, he continued, is collaborating with 50 other EV ecosystem businesses. With this, the company’s goal for the following two years is to sign up 1 lakh EV-based delivery partners.
