Engine
The new 225.9cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that powers the TVS Ronin cranks out 20.5PS at 7750 rpm and 19.93Nm at 3750 rpm. For low and mid-range power, TVS has tweaked the engine. Using a slip-and-assist clutch, the engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The Ronin’s suspension components include a mono shock and a 41mm Showa Big Piston USD fork with a gold finish. Meanwhile, disc brakes are used for braking on both ends.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Classic 350 share a 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The same 20.2PS and 27Nm are produced despite a somewhat sportier tuning. A five-speed gearbox is mated to the motor. The Hunter is constructed using the same split dual-cradle frame, telescopic fork, and dual shock absorber suspension system as its siblings. It uses a 300mm disc up front with a dual-piston floating calliper and a 270mm disc with a single-piston floating calliper in the back. The safety net of dual-channel ABS, or single-channel ABS in the more cost-effective Retro variant, is also available.
Features
In addition to the company’s SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity with voice help and turn-by-turn navigation, the TVS Ronin receives “Urban” and “Rain” ABS modes. Glide Through Traffic (low-speed assistance), a silent starting, and a USB charger are some of the other features on this bike.
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 receives an accessory Tripper navigation pod in addition to a semi-digital instrument cluster taken from the Royal Enfield Scram 411. The instrument cluster has a clock, a gear position indication, and an Eco mode indicator in addition to the standard information.
