The company has sent an email to all its employees, telling them whether their job will remain or not, they will be informed through mail. Along with this, employees have been forbidden to come to the office on Friday. Through its mail, Twitter told employees, ‘If you are in the office or on the way to the office, then go back home.’
It is worth noting that on 27 October 2022, Elon Musk took over the social media company as soon as he completed the deal with Twitter. After this, first of all the officers sitting in the top positions of the company were discharged. This includes the name of the company’s former CEO Parag Agarwal, Ned Segal, who was the CFO, and Vijaya Gadde, who was the head of the company’s legal policy, trust and safety department. Elon Musk has signed a $44 billion deal to buy Twitter. Now he is doing large scale layoffs in the company to recover his money, so that the company can be made profitable.
Giving information on this matter, AFP news agency has told that Twitter has forbidden the employees of the company to come to the office on Saturday. Along with this, they have been informed that whether they will be hired or not, information will be given only by mail. If the job of a Twitter employee is secure, then he will get a message on the company’s email. At the same time, the people who have been fired will be sent a message through their personal email ID. Since receiving this mail, there is an atmosphere of uneasiness and uncertainty among the employees of the company.
The company is preparing to lay off 50% of its employees
After coming to the fore of this mail, the news is being stamped that the company is going to fire half of its employees for its cost cutting. Significantly, for a long time, it was being claimed in the media that Elon Musk can lay off about 50% of the people in Twitter. This step is being taken by the company to bring the company from loss to profit. With this decision of Twitter, its effect can be seen not only in America but all over the world. After this decision, there may be a big job crisis in the tech sector.
