At least 8 people have died after a steam boiler exploded in a chemical factory in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. Meerut Zone Inspector General of Police Praveen Kumar has confirmed about these. At the same time, it is being said that more than 20 people were injured. The fire brigade vehicles has reached the spot and are engaged in relief and rescue work. Police and administration teams have reached the spot. The matter is being told of UPSIDC of Police Station Dhaulana area.
Local people say that two dozen people may be trapped inside the factory, which is a big challenge for the administration to rescue them safely.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the death of 8 laborers in the fire caused by boiler explosion in Hapur district. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased.
“The chief minister has directed district administration officers to go to the spot and oversee rescue and relief measures and extend all possible help to the victims and their families,” the CM’s office tweeted.
The Chief Minister has asked the top officials to reach the spot immediately. Along with this, instructions have been given to investigate the matter.
The Chief Minister has given instructions to provide proper treatment to the people injured in the accident. CM has given instructions to get the experts investigated in the case of boiler explosion.
