Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of the ongoing Kanwar Yatra in the western part of the state on Monday. According to a spokesperson for the party, the CM directed officials to shower petals on the Kanwariyas.

Meanwhile, Meerut’s IG Range Praveen Kumar and DM Deepak Meena showered flower petals on kanwariyas, through helicopter.
The Kanwar Yatra is being held in the state after a two-year hiatus. It had previously been halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Huge tableaux can be seen accompanying the yatra in some places, while Kanwariyas can be seen walking wearing masks of Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in others.
The chief minister directed the establishment of health posts along the Kanwar Yatra route during a video conference with senior officials. The CM stated that there should be no displays of weapons or processions of any kind.
