UP To Introduce EV Services At Key Tourist Destinations: CM Yogi Adityanath

UP News: On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief minister, Yogi Adityanath said that UP will introduce Electric Vehicle services in the key tourist destinations of the state. In an event organised at Yogiraj Baba Gambirnath Auditorium on the ocassion of World Tourism Day, adressing the same, CM Yogi Adityanath shared the plans to ultilize e-rikshaws and e-buses at major tourist places.

The Chief Minister also inaugrated an exhibition on tourist places in Uttar Pradesh. He futher released an “A To Z” Booklet on the tourist places, honoured top tourism entrepreneurs of UP and distributed kits to the members of Youth Tourism Club.

The Chief Minister said “”We should plan the development of tourist destinations so that electricity is not provided by generators, and we should install solar lighting. Efforts are being made to exclusively introduce electric vehicle services at key tourist destinations across UP”.

CM Yogi also said that Government is making efforts to enhance connectivity to increase the growth aspects of the tourism sector. Four lanes and several expresss highways have been made and airlines facilities has been also strengthened in the state. He pointed that till 2017, In Uttar Pradesh only two airports were in operation and today in 2023, there are nine fully operation airports in the state and 12 new airports are also in the pipeline.

He also proposed to use multilingual signage at the major tourist destinations. He also emphasized to train local youth as guides at the tourist places. These young minds will be trained to know all the languages from where a big proportion of tourists comes at these destinations.
