Hyundai Micro SUV
At the 2023 Auto Expo, the South Korean automaker could present a brand-new entry-level SUV. Its market debut is anticipated to take place before the holiday season in 2023. The Grand i10 Nios hatchback’s platform will be used by the crossover vehicle, code-named Hyundai Ai3 CUV. It will be a little larger than the Hyundai Casper, which is offered in a few international regions. The tiny SUV’s engine could be a 1.2L NA petrol unit with an 82bhp and 114Nm output. Once it is released, the new Hyundai micro SUV will directly compete with the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. The base model will probably cost approximately Rs 5.50 lakh.
Tata Nexon
According to reports, Tata Motors will upgrade the generation of its best-selling Nexon subcompact SUV in the upcoming years. Its debut schedule, however, has not yet been disclosed. Its foundation will get one of the biggest improvements. The Alfa platform, which accommodates various body types and powertrains, will serve as the foundation for the next-generation Tata Nexon. In India, the Punch and Altroz are supported by the same architectural design. The 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines are likely to be used in the brand-new Nexon to provide power. These motors may have higher levels of refinement, though. The mild hybrid technology could potentially benefit the new Nexon. The new SUV model’s starting price is anticipated to be Rs 8 lakh.
Maruti Baleno Cross
Maruti Suzuki’s SUV product line will soon include the Maruti Baleno Cross. In January 2023, during the Delhi Auto Expo, the car will make its premiere internationally. In the first half of 2023, it is anticipated to arrive in showrooms. The car is based on the Heartect platform and will use a Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine that complies with BS6 and is assisted by mild hybrid technology. The 1.5L Dualjet petrol engine and the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine might also be available as options. It will be a Nexa product and is anticipated to start at Rs 8 lakh.
Honda Compact SUV
Based on the Amaze platform, Honda has announced the production of two SUVs for the Indian market. One of them will be a compact SUV that will compete with the new Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue, while the other will be a mid-size SUV that will go up against the Hyundai Creta. According to speculations, the next Honda compact SUV may be equipped with powerful hybrid technology. A 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine from the City sedan will also be offered with the vehicle. The recently released Honda WR-V may have served as an inspiration for some of its design cues and functionality. Pricing is anticipated to start at Rs. 8 lakh.
