Volkswagen Taigun: Volkswagen has made a significant increase in the prices of its flagship SUV Taigun. Company offers this SUV in a single variant yet, the bad news is that the Volkswagen has made an increment of Rs. 47000 in the price of this car. Earlier, this SUV was available for Rs. 34 lakh (Ex-showroom), but after the price hike, the vehicle will now come with the price tag of Rs. 35.17 lakh. With the increase of prices of this flagship SUV, the company has made no changes in the features anf mechanicals of the vehicle. Earlier, ths SUV was also available in 7 Seater Option which was sold as Taigun AllSpace, but now the company has discontinued the 7 Seater variant, the vehicle will be only availble in 5 Seater option now.
The Company has recently launched the new and BS6 Phase 2 compliant version of this Flagship SUV, the car is now able to run with E20 Fuel. Volkswagen offers this car in a single variant which is named Elegance. The car comes with a 2.0 Litre Turbo Petrol Engine which generates the maximum power of 190 Ps and a peak torque of 320 Nm. Company offers the vehicle in Rear wheel drive and All wheel drive wiith the manual and DCT Gearbox options.

Talking about the features, this SUV comes with Apple Car Play, a big 8 Inch Touchscreen Infotainment system, Digital Instrument cluster, Panoramic sunroof and connected car technology. The vehicle also comes with 3 Zone Climate control, Power adjustible driver seats and 30 colour ambient lighting in the interiors of the SUV.
As far as the safety is concerned, the car comes with 6 Airbags, Tyre pressure moonitoring system, Electronic stability control, Hill Assist, Park Assist, a rear view camera along with a ISOFIX child seat mount. Taigun has been awarded 5 star in the safety. Taigun competes with the rivals like Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross in Indian market.
