Volvo EX90: The EX90 Excellence is Volvo’s premium electric SUV, and the Swedish carmaker debuted a more luxurious version of it at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2023. The EX90’s top-of-the-line model will be this limited-edition model.
Volvo EX90 battery and motor
A 111 kWh lithium-ion battery pack has been installed in the Swedish automaker’s EX90 SUV. The business claims that the EV’s battery was created using renewable energy and can handle up to 250 kW of DC rapid charging. This has made it possible for the EV to generate 180 km of range with just 10 minutes of battery charge. When completely charged, the Volvo EX90 is said to have a range of up to 650kms and only needs 30 minutes to recharge up to 80%.
Design
A crossover-like appearance may be seen in the Volvo EX90 Excellence’s design. The front grille is walled off, and the design is sloping. The car is available with a two-tone paint job and brand-new 22-inch forged rims for improved aerodynamics. In terms of features and equipment, the outside of the automobile largely stays the same.
Features
High-resolution LiDAR in this SUV can see 250 metres in front of the vehicle. The EV has 16 extra sensors located all over it. In addition to providing level three autonomous driving, the LiDAR sensor is positioned on the front of the roof.
Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play, and wireless Apple CarPlay are all included in the car’s big 14.5-inch central display panel.
What’s new in the new Volvo EX90?
The removal of the third-row seats is the premium car’s most significant modification. Instead, it receives two separate seats with plush pillows for the comfort of the occupants. There is a beverage fridge between these deluxe seats, and the centre console has some touch-sensitive buttons that give you access to the heat and massage features. In addition, the luxurious EV is given an Orrefors crystal object that operates a fragrance dispenser, providing us with 3 distinct scents.
