Honda Activa ICE converted into an electric scooter

A modification company called DIY Tech introduced the aforementioned aftermarket conversion kit for the Honda Activa and provided a YouTube video explaining the kit’s specifics. The owner of the modification shop describes in the video the parts and steps needed to turn any normal Honda Activa into an electric vehicle.

For the project, DIY Tech used a Honda Activa 5G and installed a totally electric drivetrain in place of the vehicle’s 110cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The Activa is fitted with an electric battery in place of the engine, which functions in combination with a hub-mounted electric motor to power the scooter’s back wheel.

How much will it cost?

Using an electric conversion kit to convert a conventional Honda Activa will cost you roughly Rs 1 lakh, not including the cost of the scooter, according to DIY Tech. As per DIY Tech, the battery accounts for approximately half of the costs. Additionally, the battery used in the conversion kit is covered by a 3-year warranty by DIY Tech.
