Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in multiple parts of the country over the next three hours. This weather update comes after several regions experienced significant rainfall on Wednesday, providing relief amid a severe heatwave that had gripped various areas in recent days.

In a detailed post on X, the IMD highlighted that the affected areas include northeast Bihar, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka, Telangana, South Rayalaseema, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, south Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

The rain on Wednesday caused waterlogging in parts of Guwahati, bringing much-needed relief but also causing minor disruptions. Additionally, Kullu and Manali in Himachal Pradesh received rainfall, adding to the overall weather activity in the region.
