Engine and Transmission
The Yamaha MT-15 is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with specifications of 18.4 PS at 10,000 RPM and 14.1 Nm at 7500 RPM. The engine from the older bike is shared by the new MT-15.
A 321cc bs6 engine that produces 41.4 PS and 29.6 Nm of torque powers the MT-03. It has disc brakes in both the front and the back. The fuel tank of the Yamaha MT-03 has a 14 L capacity and weighs 169 kg.
Features
Along with LED DRLs with projector headlights and taillights, the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 still has these features. The new Yamaha bike includes Bluetooth connectivity for call, SMS, and email alerts in addition to a completely digital instrument console. The new MT-15 V2 now has traction control, just like the Yamaha R15 V4 had. Variable Valve Actuation is still available for the new MT-15 on the mechanical front. The technology enables the 155cc engine to operate at its full efficiency at higher revs without the need to make up for a deficiency in low- to mid-range power.
The MT-03 includes dual-channel ABS and a completely digital LCD in addition to LED lighting. The instrument console includes all the necessary readouts, including the tachometer, fuel gauge, trip meter, speedometer and odometer.
Price in India
The starting price of the Yamaha MT 15 V2 in India is Rs. 1,68,400. One variation of the Yamaha MT 15 V2 is available.
The MT-03’s asking price (ex-showroom) may be close to Rs. 3.7 lakh.
