Engine details
A 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with variable valve actuation powers the Yamaha R15 V4. 18.4 Hp and 14.2 Nm are produced by it. It is connected to a six-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch. VVA technology aids in maintaining a solid balance between top-end drive and low-end power.
The Yamaha MT-15 is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with specifications of 18.4 PS at 10,000 RPM and 14.1 Nm at 7500 RPM. The engine from the older bike is shared by the new MT-15.
Features
With Bluetooth connectivity through the Yamaha Y-Connect app, the Yamaha R15 V4 is equipped with a brand-new LCD instrument cluster. The phone battery level, call/SMS notifications, and even a lap timer are all displayed. Turn-by-turn navigation is, however, absent from the console. Two display modes, Street and Race have been added by Yamaha to the bike. The R15 also offers some variations of traction control and a quick shifter, both of which are segment firsts. Standard quick-shifter is included in the R15 V4 with the Intensity White Color option. For the record, the R15M, MotoGP, and Racing Blue hues were the only ones that had access to this feature in the past.
Along with LED DRLs with projector headlights and taillights, the Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 still has these features. The new Yamaha bike includes Bluetooth connectivity for call, SMS, and email alerts in addition to a completely digital instrument console. The new MT-15 V2 now has traction control, just like the Yamaha R15 V4 had. Variable Valve Actuation is still available for the new MT-15 on the mechanical front. The technology enables the 155cc engine to operate at its full efficiency at higher revs without the need to make up for a deficiency in low- to mid-range power.
