Yamaha R3 and MT-03: Yamaha Motors has recently launched the highly anticipated Yamaha R3 and MT-03 in the Indian automobile market. The bigger R3 was previously available in India, but now it comes in an all-new avatar. While the MT-03 is an all-new offering by the brand in India. Yamaha R3 and MT-03 Specs
Yamaha R3 and MT-O3 come equipped with a similar 321cc parallel twin engine which generates a maximum power of 42 bhp and a peak torque of 29.6 Nm. The powerhouse comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. Both bikes run on the new 17-inch wheels on both sides that come suspended by USD Forks in the front and mono shock at the rear. The braking duties of the bikes are handled by a single disc at both ends with Anti braking system. Both MT-03 and Yamaha YZF R3 boast dual-channel ABS. Additionally, the bikes get LCD screens and LED headlamps. With these specs, we can clearly say that both bikes remain largely similar in terms of mechanicals.
Yamaha R3 and MT-03 Rivals
If we talk about rivals of both these newly launched beasts. The all-new Yamaha R3 will compete with the already available TVS Apache RTR 310, Kawasaki Ninja 400 KTM RC 390 and others. The MT-03 is expected to hurt the sales of its rivals which include the BMW G310, kTM 390 Duke and others.
Yamaha R3 and MT-03: Price Details
Yamaha YZF R3 comes with a price tag of Rs. 4.64 lakh.. While the MT-03 is priced at Rs. 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Both bikes will arrive in India via the CBU route.
