Yamaha Tenere World Rally Edition: The eye-catching bike is modelled by the one that off-road racing legend Stéphane Peterhansel rode during the 1993 Dakar Rally, so rally enthusiasts of a certain era will be able to recognise it right away. Six outright victories in Dakar would be won by Peter Hansel for the Japanese company, cementing the reputation of Ténéré in history and inspiring countless riders to dream of seeing the world on two wheels.
Yamaha Tenere World Rally Edition specifications
The 698cc parallel-twin engine that powers the Tenere 700 World Rally has the same liquid cooling system, but thanks to the Akrapovic exhaust, it has a little higher peak output. This motorcycle’s beloved CP2 mill produces 74.8 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 69 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
Features onboard
The new bike’s electronics include a brand-new 5″ TFT LCD with full colour. The system’s modes may be switched between digital, analogue, and roadbook, and Bluetooth connectivity is included in so you can connect to the Yamaha MyRide app. There are three degrees of intervention for the bike’s ABS, which is also switchable. Level 1 provides full ABS for both wheels, Level 2 provides ABS for the front wheel only, and Level 3 provides no ABS for the front or rear wheels.
Price
Deliveries will start this month for this particular Tenere, which has a price tag of Rs 13.41 lakh. Unfortunately, for now, this bike will only be available in European markets.
