Several automakers forayed or expanded their EV portfolio by launching all-new EV products or introducing the EV version of the existing ones this year. 2023 witnessed the launches of some of the most loved electric vehicles coming from domestic and foreign brands. Tata Nexon EV Facelift

Tata Nexon EV Facelift was one of the most popular and loved EV cars in 2023. Tata Nexon EV was already the best-selling EV car in India and after receiving the facelift upgrade, the compact SUV attracted a great deal of attention from the customers. The Nexon EV facelift features some major cosmetic upgrades in the front fascia and rear side. Tata Motors launched the Nexon EV facelift in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 14.74 lakh. 

MG Comet EV

MG Comet is another electric car that created a buzz in the Indian EV market this year. Comet EV became a highlight because of its tiny and spacious cabin. MG Comet offers up-to-the-mark features in its price segment as it was launched with an introductory price of Rs. 7.98 lakh. Despite being a small EV car, MG Comet managed to give tough competition to its rivals such as Tata Tiago EV. MG Comet EV provides a great driving range of up to 230 km on a solitary charge. 

BMW i7 

BMW was one of those foreign brands that launched their electric offerings in India this year. BMW i7 was introduced as an all-electric car sedan that can provide an impressive range of 560 km on a single charge. BMW i7 comes with a 101.7 kWh battery pack coupled with dual electric motors. The electric powerhouse of the car generates a maximum power of 657 bhp and a peak torque of 1100 Nm. Talking about the acceleration, the electric sedan accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds. 

Citroen eC3

Citroen also became a highlight this year because of its affordable EV offerings in India. The French automaker launched Citroen eC3 in India at a starting price tag of Rs. 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Citroen eC3 provides a great driving range of 320 km on a solitary charge. The electric hatchback was launched in a total of 4 variants and it comes equipped with a 29.2 kWh battery pack. 

Mahindra XUV400

India’s largest SUV manufacturer, Mahindra and Mahindra also launched the Mahindra XUV 400 in India. The electric SUV was launched as the first EV car in the automaker’s portfolio. Mahindra XUV400 comes with two battery pack options and an electric sub-compact SUV provides n impressive range of 456 Km on a solitary charge. Mahindra XUV400 prices start at Rs. 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom) which reaches up to 18.99 lakh for the top-end model.
