Sainik Schools Join Forces to Advance Education and Defense
According to the press release, the Sainik Schools Society and 19 New Sainik Schools spread around the nation signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) as part of the programme. According to the Defence Ministry, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal in creating 100 new Sainik schools is to give kids a quality education in accordance with the National Education Policy, enabling them to pursue better job prospects, including enlisting in the military. The press release stated that by preparing today’s kids to become tomorrow’s responsible citizens, these schools also provide the private sector with a chance to collaborate with the governments and develop a country.
Sainik School Society to Oversee New Schools with Individual Boards
The Sainik School Society will run the schools, but they will continue to be connected to their individual education boards. In Mehsana, Gujarat, the first cooperatively run Sainik School, Shri Motibhai R Choudhury Sagar Sainik School, had its foundation stone placed in July of this year by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He praised PM Modi for actively involving everyone in the nation’s progress in addition to delivering development to the country during the programme.
