A webinar was organized by ASSOCHAM National Council of Education and IES University Bhopal on the topic ” NEP 2020: Opportunities and Challenges for Madhya Pradesh towards becoming an Educational Hub” on Thursday, 21 October at 4 PM.
Eminent speaker of the event was Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra National President, Co-Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council of Educationand and Chancellor, Shobhit University, Professor Dhiraj Kumar director National School of Design Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Bharat ShaSharan Singh Chairman Madhya Pradesh Private University regulation Commission Bhopal, Er B.S. Yadav Vice-Chairman, MP and Chhattisgarh ASSOCHAM National Council of Education and Chancellor IES University Bhopal, professor Kamlesh Misra Vice Chancellor Rishihood University.
Professor Minakshi Kawathekar Dean Corporate Affairs IES University Bhopal was the moderator of the event and Mr. Neeraj Arora senior director and head of ASSOCHAM National Council of Education coordinated the event.
“Education plays a role in changing patterns of inequality and is one of the major tribes of intergenerational social and income mobility. Universities are now playing three important roles: knowledge transfer skill development and involvement in the economic growth of the nation. Research on successful Nations makes it clear that the heart of a strong system of education is a highly-skilled, stable, and diverse profession. We have invested far less than other countries in the education workforce, providing little support for training, mentoring, and professional learning,” said Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra Chancellor, Shobhit University.
To become an educational hub we need to concentrate not only on increasing the number of HEIs in the states but also to provide all necessary social infrastructure along with a very flexible and functional governance environment as invasion in NEP 2020. The Universities may also be encouraged to establish SEiZ (Skill, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Zone) in their campuses as started by Shobhit University, to support and empower local youth, he further added.
