BHU Recruitment 2024: Banaras Hindu University’s Vasant College for Women in Varanasi has begun accepting applications for 14 open positions. These include roles for Assistant Professors, Clerks, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). Interested candidates can apply through the official website, vasantakfi.ac.in.
Teaching Positions Available
- Assistant Professor (Education): 2 positions
- Assistant Professor (Musical Instrumental): 1 position
- Assistant Professor (Music Vocal): 1 position
- Assistant Professor (Hindi): 1 position
- Assistant Professor (Economics): 1 position
- Assistant Professor (Home Science): 1 position
- Assistant Professor (English) on contract basis: 1 position
Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Professors
- A Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks.
- Ph.D. in the relevant field is mandatory.
- Candidates must be UGC NET or CSIR NET qualified.
Non-Teaching Positions Available
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 4 positions
- Lower Division Clerk: 1 position
- Tabla Accompanist: 1 position
Eligibility Criteria for Non-Teaching Staff
- Clerk:
- Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized institution.
- Typing speed of 30 words per minute.
- Age limit: 18 – 32 years.
- MTS:
- 10th pass from a recognized board.
- Age limit: 18 – 40 years.
Note: Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per government norms.
Selection Process and Salary
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination. Salaries will be as per government norms.

- General/OBC:
- Assistant Professor: Rs. 1000
- Non-Teaching: Rs. 500
- SC/ST/PWD: No fee
