Bihar News: In an important announcement by the Bihar education Department, all schools of Bihar will remain open for 200 days for classes 1to5th. There will not be any Holiday even on Raksha Bandhan. The children and the school staff are in shock after hearing the announcement. All students and the School Staff will have to attend school on the 31st of August also. According to the Education Secretary, a new date sheet has been issued for all the schools from Primary to Secondary classes regarding the updated Holiday list. The six day Durga Puja Holiday has been reduced to 3 days now.

Chhath Puja Holiday will be for Two days only

Diwali Holidays used to start from the Chhath Puja in schools till last year, but from now onwards, Diwali Holidays will begin from 13th November to 21st November. Now the Chhath Puja Holiday will only be for two days. Schools will be closed on 19th and 20th on the occasion of Chhath Puja. The education department said that in the Right to Education Act 2009, there is a provision of 200 working days from 1st to 5th and 220 working days from 6th to 8th. The New list has been made keeping this in mind.

Decision opposed by Students, Teachers

However the decision is being opposed by many students and the school staff. May people are expressing their anger on the Social Media also.
