Present situation for Indian students at the University of Toronto
More than 230,000 Indian students are currently enrolled in various universities across Canada, reflecting a significant rise in the overall number of Indian students in the country. This increase, which has helped U Of T since students from India make up the third-largest group here after students from the US and China, has occurred in the past five to six years.
One of the difficulties faced by many students who want to study in Canada is the delay in permits. If the delays are interfering with students’ plans, they defer their admissions to the next fall, from September to November 2023.
