The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the term-1 board examinations for classes 10 and 12 offline in November-December, the board said on Thursday. The date sheet for the same will be released on October 18.
The timetable will be available on the official website of the central board at cbse.nic.in or cbseacademic.nic.in.
CBSE is offering 114 subjects in class 12 and 75 subjects in class 10. The board has to conduct the examinations of a total 189 subjects.
Subjects offered by CBSE divided into two parts
If the examination of all subjects is conducted, entire duration of the examinations would be about 40-45 days minimum. Therefore, to avoid learning loss of students, CBSE has decided that subjects offered by CBSE will be divided into two parts- i.e. major subjects and minor subjects: As major subjects are offered by almost all the affiliated schools, hence, exams of these subjects will be conducted by fixing date sheet as done earlier.
The board issued a circular in which it said the exams will be objective type. The 90-minute term-1 exam paper will be conducted with multiple-choice optical mark recognition (MCQ-OMR) question sheets.
Term-2 examination will be conducted in the month of March-April 2022. “This will be a subjective/objective type of examination as per the condition of COVID-19 in the country.”
