Students can download the subject-wise syllabus by visiting the official CBSE website, cbseacademic.nic.in. The website also offers the syllabus and other assessment materials in Hindi for better understanding.
CBSE Syllabus Breakdown by Class
- Class 10th: The syllabus prescribes five compulsory subjects and two optional subjects.
- Class 12th: The syllabus covers seven major areas: Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Science, Skill Subjects, General Studies, and Health and Physical Education.

- Visit the official CBSE website: https://www.cbse.gov.in/
- Click on the “Academics” section and then select “Curriculum for the Academic Year 2024-25” from the menu.
- Choose “Secondary Curriculum (IX-X)” for Class 9th and 10th syllabus or “Senior Secondary Curriculum (XI-XII)” for Class 11th and 12th syllabus.

New Syllabus and Books for Classes 3 & 6 Coming Soon
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is currently developing a new syllabus and textbooks for Classes 3 and 6. These are expected to be released soon. Schools will be advised to follow the new syllabus and books in place of the previously used NCERT publications.
