CBSE Term 2 Exams 2022: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for class 10th and class 12th term 2 practical exams. The practical exams will start from March 2 and will end 10 days before the start of the theory exams. Term 2 examination of CBSE Board will be conducted from April 26.
The exam will be conducted in offline mode. Schools will have to follow the Covid-19 protocol even during practical examinations. The notice issued by CBSE said, “To avoid crowding and social distancing, the school may divide the group/batch of students into sub-groups of 10 students each. First group of 10 students will be involved in lab work then second group will be involved in pen and paper work.”
For the regular students of class 10th, the internal examination will be conducted by the schools, while the practical examination of the regular students of class 12th will be handed over to the external examiner. Schools will upload the marks of practical exam on daily basis from March 2. “The uploading of marks will be completed by the last date of the respective class. Extension of dates will not be considered by the Board,” said the official notification issued by CBSE.
Students of class 10th and 12th of private schools will not have to appear in any practical examination. These students will be given practical marks on the basis of pro-rata of marks obtained in theory examination conducted by the board. The guidelines issued by the board states, “The marks prescribed for the Practical Examination/Internal Assessment in respect of the candidates from the session 2020-21 onwards, that is 2019-20 and earlier, shall be calculated on the basis of the marks obtained in the theory examination, will be done on a proportionate basis.”
CBSE will soon release the datesheet for Term 2 exam. In Term-II exam, students will have to answer both objective and subjective questions. CBSE will follow the pattern of sample question papers for the board exam. The sample paper is available on the CBSE website.
