Centre to increase medical and engineering seats by opening more institutions claims FM Sitharaman

Government of India: The finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, claimed on Sunday that the nation’s drive to advance is fueled by the enthusiasm of young people. She added that the government now serves the interests of the populace and is not corrupt.

“It is so invigorating. I am so touched by the presence of such young brains. It does give a lot of motivation when you have such energy. It is that energy that keeps India going forward,” Speaking here to a “Yuva Shakti Samvad,” Sitharaman added.

According to her, the Center is trying to build new institutes and increase the number of medical and engineering seats nationwide by building medical colleges in each district of the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisioned the idea of a “digital university”

Sitharaman responded that great progress has been done in the area of the digital university when questioned. “Several remote regions where the traditional universities don’t reach. Therefore, in order to ensure that universities can reach these areas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisioned the idea of a “digital university,” using technology” she spoke.

The creation of a digital university was announced by the Indian government in its budget for 2022–2023 Students from all throughout the nation will have access to a world-class, universal education at their doorsteps, thanks to the university.

Finance Minister’s appeal

The Union Finance Minister urged the youths to honour those who gave their lives in defence of the nation as well as the military forces, who are ready to repel any external assault.

Corruption-free leadership is essential if a country is to join the group of industrialised nations, she claimed.

Sitharaman praised Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, saying it was clean of corruption. In order to assist India become a developed nation by 2047, she remarked, “we should maintain the spirit of hope and optimism for a committed and corruption-free government.”

Om Birla, the speaker of the Lok Sabha, was also present.
