Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of Punjab announced on Monday that there has been a notable increase in enrolment in the pre-primary wings of government schools. He attributed this growth to the diligent efforts of the state administration in enhancing the education sector. Since coming into power, the AAP government has placed a strong emphasis on improving the state’s education system, as stated in an official release by Mann. Their primary focus has been to revitalize the education provided in government schools, aiming to enable students to compete with their peers from private schools.
Government’s dedicated efforts have yielded positive results
According to Mann, the government’s dedicated efforts have yielded positive results, with enrolment in pre-primary (I) wing rising by 16.3% and in pre-primary (II) wing by 9.9%. This progress serves as evidence that government-run schools in Punjab now offer quality education. In fact, an increasing number of students from private schools are choosing to enroll in government institutions. The Chief Minister believes that this trend will continue, and he envisions a future where students from Punjab government-run schools will excel in various fields, leaving a significant impact.
