Delhi University (DU) has finally announced the much-anticipated academic calendar for first-year undergraduate (UG) students for the 2024-2025 session, setting the stage for an exciting new academic journey.
Classes Begin on August 29
According to the newly released schedule, classes for the incoming batch will kick off on August 29. Originally slated to start on August 1, the commencement was postponed due to delays in the release of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores amidst allegations of irregularities.
Academic Session Timeline
The academic year for UG courses will wrap up on June 7 next year, coinciding with the start of final exams. Following the winter break, which lasts only two days, the second semester will begin on January 27, 2025.
Practical Exams and Summer Vacation
Practical exams are set to commence on May 25, which also marks the last day of classes for the session. This period allows students some time to prepare for their final exams. Typically, classes disperse in the first week of May.
After the exams, students can look forward to their summer vacation, starting from June 29 and continuing until July 20, 2025.
