Shobhit University: Prof (Dr) Rakesh Kumar Jain, Dean, School of Basic & Applied Sciences of Shobhit University, Meerut has been listed in the list of Top 2% Scientists in the World 2022, published by Stanford University recently.
World-renowned Stanford University has released a report of the top 2% of scientists in the world in various fields. The list of top scientists is created on the basis of standardised citation indicators like information on citations, h-index, co-authorship, and a composite indicator.
Congratulating Professor Jain, Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Chancellor of the university said that Shobhit University is a research-intensive deemed university that shares the values of high-quality teaching within an environment of internationally competitive research. He further said that we seek to provide a creative and supportive environment in which ideas are generated and can flourish. The excellence and diversity of our research across the School of Engineering and Technology, Biological Engineering & Life Sciences, Basic & Applied, Management Studies, Education and Law & Constitutional Studies means that in addition to our achievements in fundamental research, we are also well-positioned to make significant contributions to the national innovation agenda and by conveying the implications of our research, to contribute to the formulation of policy.
We have also identified a number of Strategic Initiatives, which build on the existing research base in the University to tackle research challenges that can only be addressed by multi-disciplinary teams of researchers. Our aim is to provide academic leadership in these areas and to develop strategic partnerships with academe and industry around the world to advance research and the impact of that research in these fields.
This is worth mentioning here that Shobhit University Meerut was ranked in the top 5 technical institutions of India with a maximum number of patents published in the last three years in a National Universities Survey conducted by India Today publications.
The Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and entire academic fraternity of Shobhit University and of the Meerut region congratulated Prof Jain on this unique achievement.
