JEE Main 2024 Results Announced with Record-Breaking Number of Perfect Scores

The much anticipated results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) have been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). A record-breaking 56 students this year achieved the coveted 100 percentile score, demonstrating the extraordinary skill and tenacity of these young brains.

Top Scorers Emerge from Across India

Of these top performers, fifteen are from Telangana, seven are from Andhra Pradesh, seven are from Maharashtra and six are from Delhi. Interestingly, Shayna Sinha, Madhav Bansal, Tanay Jha, Ipsit Mittal, Bhavesh Ramakrishnan Karthik, and Arsh Gupta are six of the perfect scores from Delhi.

Strong Participation and Inclusivity Mark the Exam

11,79,569 students registered for JEE Main 2024 overall, indicating a strong interest in engineering-related fields. Notably, 3,29,600 female applicants took the test pointing to an increasing trend of female engineers. Exam accessibility for students with impairments was guaranteed by catering to 3369 out of 3779 enrolled applicants.

Examination Conducted with Focus on Accessibility and Fairness

For the academic year 2024–2025, the JEE Main 2024 was offered in two sessions (January and April), giving students flexibility. Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, and others were among the thirteen languages in which the exam was conducted, making it more accessible to students from a variety of backgrounds. In addition to 22 international centres serving candidates from overseas, JEE Main 2024 Session 2 was held at 571 centres located in 319 Indian cities. Fairness was the NTA’s first priority, and it demonstrated this by harshly punishing 39 applicants who tried to cheat on the exam.
