The Centre is ready to begin the new session from September/October 2024, as per the UGC-DEB Guidelines. In the new session the Centre is going to introduce some new Study Centre as well as  re-activate the existing Learning Support Centres for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) students to provide face-to-face counselling sessions on Saturday/Sunday. At the Learning Support Centres, learners will be able to interact with the academic counsellors and discuss matters related to their programmes and courses. The assignments may also be submitted at the LSCs as per the schedule to be announced time-to-time. In addition to the above measures, we are also developing e-content/videos to be disseminated to our learners through newly created YouTube Channel and providing Print Self Learning Material to all PG students as we have been supplying to the UG students.

Meanwhile, the Centre has started conducting the semester-end examination of I and III Semesters of all PG Programmes of Batch July 2023 and Batch January 2024 together w.e.f. 16th of August 2024. The examinations are going on very smoothly at various Examination Centres.

The office of the CoE and the entire administration including Vice chancellor’s office and Registrar’s office have been very cooperative in this regard. With their support the Centre has taken so many measures to improve the quality of input provided to the learners. The Centre is trying very hard to streamline all the curricular activities and hold examinations on time.

The Centre is also planning to introduce some Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma Programmes  in the field of Journalism, Mass Media, Educational Assessment etc. from the next batch which will be starting from January/February 2025.

At present, the learners who seek admission in MBA, M.Com, and MA Programmes (History, English, Urdu, Hindi, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Education, Commerce, HRM, Geography, and Islamic Studies) as well as UG Programmes (BA, B.Com, BBA etc) may visit the JMI Website through the above given link and may apply for admission.
