Lucknow News: The affiliation of APJ Abdul Kalam University is in danger as the University is unable to take a call within the given time period. In this situation, affiliation could not be given to the New Colleges. At the same time, the University hasn’t received any relief from the Supreme Court due to which the admission of over 1.32 lakh seats in the first year of college is in danger. Meanwhile the University is again thinking of approaching the Supreme court. The University was suppose to finish the process of extension of affiliation of old colleges by 31st July but it failed to do do.

AICTE refused to give extension to University

The website of the All India Council for Technical Education claims that all the colleges have been cleared by their level . The AKTU had one month time for the affiliation but it could not take a decision on affiliation of new and old Engineering colleges till July 31st. After this the University asked for the extension from AICTE but it refused.

Lets now take a look at  how will it affect the students:

AKTU has 749 affiliated colleges, which needs to take extension of affiliation every year. Currently the affiliation of any college hasn’t got extension. Due to this all the colleges will be unable to take admission in the session 2023-2024. There are over 1.32 lakh PG and UG seats in the affiliated colleges. According to sources, over 90 colleges had applied to increase the seats and start new batches but according to sources, they have not got the permission.
