NCERT: National Council of Educational Research and Training received the status of Deemed University as announced by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The announcement was being made to mark the 63rd Foundation Day of NCERT. The Minister also announced the merging of Bal Bhavans and Bal Vatikas with the NCERT in order to provide comprehensive education to the children. NCERT was launched in 1961 under the society act to help the governments in building the schools education. After receiving the status, NCERT will have its own graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral Degrees.

Education Minister also inaugurated 3 labs

The Education Minister also linked Chandrayan -3 with the Education Policy and said that the New Policy will be as successful as Chandrayan-3. He said that the credit for chandrayan-3 success should also be given to the NCERT since it helps in generating ideas like this. The Education Minister also inaugurated 3 labs, one on teacher training center and the other on virtual reality education.

NCERT forms New Committee to reshape the Syllabus

A New Committee has been formed by the NCERT to reshape the syllabus and text books of class 3to 12th. The main objective of this committee is to place the syllabus with the National Curriculum Framework for School Education.
