NMC: The NMC has made a new development for Indian medical students who have returned from Ukraine. The National Medical Commission (NMC) recently announced the countries in which Ukraine returnee medical students can study through the ‘Academic Mobility Programme’. The change occurred after students returned from the war-torn country and were unable to finish their degrees.

List of Countries for Indian medical students to complete study
The countries where Ukraine-returned Indian medical students can study are- Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Slovakia, Spain, Uzbekistan, US, Italy, Belgium, Egypt, Belarus, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, Greece, Rumania, Sweden, Israel, Iran, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany, Turkey, Croatia and Hungary.
“The said “Academic Mobility Program” is applicable only to the medical colleges/ institutes located in the above-mentioned countries and the medical students are advised to adopt the mobility program accordingly,” the NMC notification said.
The NMC previously issued a public notice informing the public that the commission had taken into consideration the mobility programme proposed by Ukraine after consulting with the Ministry of External Affairs.

Readers are also informed that the degree will be allotted by the parent Ukraine university, the official notice read as “The Commission hereby conveys its no-objection for academic mobility programme in respect of Indian medical students who are studying in Ukraine provided that other criteria of Screening Test Regulations 2002 are fulfilled,” the public notice said.
