Taking major action on private schools in Noida, DM has imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on 90 schools. This fine has been imposed on those schools which did not return 15% fees during the Covid period. The High Court had ordered a refund of 15% fees to the parents, but this order was not accepted by the schools.
Now DM Noida Manish Kumar, while taking strict action against the schools, has asked all the schools to reply within 10 days if the court’s order is not implemented.
It is worth mentioning that in 2020-21, when covid was facing, all the schools were asked by the High Court to refund or adjust 15 percent of the fees. In such a situation, a notice was issued to the schools by the collector. In which more than 100 schools did not respond to the notice. Now a fine of one lakh has been imposed on all these schools.
