Patna News: After its first journey from Ranchi on Tuesday, the premier Vande Bharat Express received a warm greeting at Patna Junction. There was a sizable throng at the station, including local MPs, MLAs, Danapur DRM Prabhat Kumar, and other top railway officials.
Former Union Minister and Local Leaders Greet Arrival of Vande Bharat Express
The dignitaries who journeyed from Ranchi were welcomed by former Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Thakur, MLAs Sanjeev Chaurasia and Nitin Nabin, and Patna Mayor Sita Sahu. They claimed that thanks to faster connectivity between Patna and Ranchi, Vande Bharat would be beneficial for the residents of the two states. Vande Bharat was welcomed by Danapur ADRM Aadhar Raj at Jehanabad, where schoolchildren were given free transportation all the way to Patna. The train ride, according to Neha, who got on at Jehanabad, was like a dream come true. She said, “The interior atmosphere in the coach is amazing and gives the impression of a flight-like comforts.” Ruby, a different school student, said railways was kind enough to welcome youngsters for a free ride on its debut run. She boarded the train at Barkakana. She remarked, “I appreciated the hospitality of the railway employees on the train.”
Passengers Delighted with Souvenir Tickets and Luxurious Ride on Vande Bharat Express
“I have been watching Vande Bharat videos for the past few months and had dreamed that I may have the chance to ride such a luxurious train. I never imagined that railways would give me a souvenir ticket along with my fantasy ride on its first run,” remarked Kaushik. According to ECR CPRO Birendra Kumar, the railways invited teachers and children from public and government schools to take the Vande Bharat Express for free on its first run out of Ranchi. He said that during the special inaugural run, 400 school children in phases received free rides from Ranchi to BIT Mesra, BIT Mesra to Barkakana, Barkakana to Hazaribagh Town, and Jehanabad to Patna. Railways also gave the pupils “coffee mugs,” “ludo,” and keepsakes as a sign of goodwill.
