Punjab government releases Rs 23 crore for providing basic facilities in government schools

A grant amounting to about Rs 23 crore has been released by the Punjab government for the purpose of providing basic facilities in government schools. Out of this, a new grant amount of 12 crore 65 lakh 25 thousand has been released for the construction of classrooms, toilets, library and art and craft rooms.

School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains informed that district Amritsar Rs 81 lakh 81,400, Barnala Rs 44 lakh 9,500, Bathinda Rs 30.18 lakh, Faridkot Rs 24.68 lakh, Fatehgarh Sahib Rs 8.44 lakh, Fazilka Rs 1 crore 35 lakh 21,700 , 1 crore 21 lakh 14,300 to Firozpur, 67.20 lakhs to GurdaspurRs 43 lakh 300 to Hoshiarpur, Rs 58 lakh 3 thousand to Jalandhar, Rs 86.76 lakh to Kapurthala, Rs 64.60 lakh to Ludhiana, Rs 24 lakh 92,700 to Malerkotla, Rs 18.80 lakh to Mansa, Rs 31 lakh 67 lakh to Moga. 65.23 lakh has been released to Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar.

Apart from this, 27 lakh 50 thousand rupees to Shri Muktsar Sahib, Rs 4.20 lakh to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Rs 25 lakh 34,400 to Pathankot, Rs 74.62 lakh to Patiala, Rs 17.40 lakh to Rupnagar, Rs 79 lakh 24,200 to Sangrur and 1 to Tarn Taran. Rs 31 lakh 15,400 crore has been released under the new grant amount.

Along with this, an amount of Rs 10 crore 34 lakh 73 thousand 221 has been released for the already ongoing works in various schools, so that the ongoing works in the schools can be completed.
