Rajasthan News: Rajasthan Announces Three-Day Public Holiday for Schools and Government Offices

Rajasthan News: In Rajasthan, all schools, colleges, and government offices will remain closed from October 11 to October 13, 2024. The three-day public holiday has been granted in observance of the Navratri and Dussehra festivals, offering an extended break for both students and working professionals.

Festive Break for Navratri and Dussehra

With Navratri being celebrated nationwide, Rajasthan is also marking the festival with great enthusiasm. The consecutive holidays provide a perfect opportunity for people to enjoy the festivities. Many are expected to spend the break participating in cultural activities, while others may take the opportunity to travel.

Holiday Schedule: October 11-13

The holiday was pre-scheduled, with October 11 and 12 set aside for Ashtami, Navami, and Dussehra, followed by October 13 being a Sunday. This results in a continuous three-day closure of educational institutions and government offices. All facilities are expected to reopen on October 14.

Upcoming Diwali Break

In addition to this, Rajasthan’s education department has also announced a long holiday for Diwali. According to the “Shivira Panchang” (the state’s educational calendar), schools will be closed from October 27 to November 7 for Diwali and mid-term vacations, giving students a 12-day break.
