Ranchi News: Over 50 students of the Kasturba Gandhi balika Vidyalaya began protesting on the roads due to lack of teachers in the school. The students tried to meet the Bloc Development Officer to raise their grievances but they were not allowed to meet him so they started protesting on the road to put forward their demands. After seeing the Protesting students on road, the school staff and the management intervened and tried to pacify the students of holding back their protest.
‘Lack of Teachers is affecting studies of children’
The Program Officer of the Jharkhand Education Council said that the main reason why the students were protesting is the lack of teachers in the school which is hampering their education. This issue will be taken care soon. She also held a meet of all the Teaching staff and other officers on how to improve the standard of education in the school. It is decided to call Guest Teachers until fresh teachers are hired. The time period of the classes were also extended so that the students will be able to clear all their doubts.
Teachers are appointed on Contract Basis
According to some members of the Ranchi Shiksha Sangh, there is shortage of Teachers in all the Kasturba Gandhi balika Vidyalaya because the hiring is done on a contract basis and that’s why the teachers are always short.
