Ranchi News: After a long summer break, the schools have opened for the classes of KG to 8th standard in Ranchi. The summer holidays have been extended in the city due to the constant heat wave. The authorities had to extend the summer vacations thrice because of the scorching heat keeping the health of the children in mind.

Students will be assigned Regular Periodic Tests
Many schools have also started their usual periodic tests after the children joined back from the summer vacations. The new session for class X1 students from Science, Commerce and Humanities have also joined the classes with their respective streams.
Heat Holiday extended thrice in the past
The authorities have directed all the schools to wait for the weather to get better and then open the schools. The City had been recording the maximum temperature since the last few weeks, as the mercury was at its peak. The Doctors had also advised the children and the elderly to avoid stepping out until the weather gets better. The city received light showers of rain in the last few days which had dropped the temperatures and the schools have finally decided to open with the primary classes.
