RBI Assistant 2023: Today, October 4, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will close the application period for the hiring of RBI Assistants in 2023. On the official website, opportunities.rbi.org.in, those who have not yet applied can submit their applications. Through this hiring effort, 450 Assistant positions will be filled.

RBI Assistant Exam Dates and Eligibility Criteria for 2023 Recruitment

The RBI Assistant 2023 online preliminary written test will likely take place on October 21 and 23, and the main exam will probably take place on December 2. A applicant must be an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who entered India before January 1 in order to apply for RBI Assistant.

RBI Assistant Allows Applicants of Indian Descent from East Africa

Also eligible to apply are those of Indian descent who moved to India with the aim of staying there permanently from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam in East Africa. These candidates must, however, possess an eligibility certificate issued by the Indian government. As on September 1, 2023, candidates’ ages can range from 20 to 28, with 28 being the top age limit.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria for 2023 Applicants

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field with at least a 50% grade point average. Candidates who are SC, ST, or PwD must hold a bachelor’s degree with a passing grade; however, there is no minimum mark requirement. The deadline for graduating is September 1, 2023. For ex-military members, a high school diploma, matriculation, or an equivalent is required, as well as at least 15 years of defence duty. Candidates must also be fluent in the language spoken, written, and understood in the state where the recruitment office is located.

RBI Assistant Recruitment Involves Three Key Examinations

Three exams—the preliminary exam, the main exam, and the language proficiency test (LPT)—will be used to choose candidates. For those who are GEN, OBC, or EWS, the application cost is 450 + 18% GST, whereas it is only ₹50 for SC, ST, PwD, and EXS candidates. Employees are not required to pay any fees.
