Shobhit University: On World Tribal Day, August 09, Shobhit University launched the “Smart Tribal Farming” project. On this Co-Founder and Chancellor Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra said that we honour the invaluable contributions of Tribal Communities and celebrate their rich heritage, culture, and remarkable traditions. On this significant day, I am delighted to introduce Shobhit University’s “SMART Tribal Farming” Project, a pioneering initiative led by distinguished Prof. M. Moni. This project, in association with NGOs working with Tribal Communities in a cluster of 10-15 Tribal Villages of various districts, is a beacon of innovation and collaboration, bridges traditional wisdom with modern agricultural techniques to uplit tribal farmers and their communities.
Enhancing Productivity, Sustainability, and Food Security
By enhancing productivity through technology-driven strategies, we are optimizing land utilization, elevating crop yields, and reducing resource inefficiencies. This project doesn’t just focus on economic betterment; it also strengthens food security and nurtures environmental sustainabilty. Notably, our endeavor aligns with the ideals of our Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji, who herself hails from a tribal community. Her journey exemplifies the potential and resilience within these communities, which we are dedicated to supporting.
Renewing Our Pledge for Positive Transformation
Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra added that As we stand united on this World Tribal Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to driving postive change. Through education, innovation, and sustainable development, we can make a substantial impact on the lives of tribal communities. I Encourage everyone to engage actively and wholeheartedly in the “SMART Tribal Farming” project. Together, we can uplift, empower, and create a future brimming with possibilities for these deserving communities.
