Mann Ki Baat @100: Bollywood stars winners Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon are among 100 guests who will participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann ki bat@100 conclave in New Delhi.
Other celebrities to attend the conclave are sportspersons Deepa Malik and Nikhat Zareen besides eminent journalists, radio jockeys and entrepreneurs. Mann Ki Baat is PM Modi’s monthly radio talk which will complete its 100th episode this month.
The first episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ went live on October 3, 2014, after PM Modi came to power in the country.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and will inaugurate the day-long conclave. I&B Minister Anurag Thakur will be the guest of honour. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary will also attend the valedictory session.
Postage stamp, coin to be released
The BJP has planned a range of activities in the conclave, including four thematic sessions, two book releases and the unveiling of a commemorative postage stamp and coin on 100 episodes of “Mann Ki Baat”.
The 100 citizens from across the country who will attend the conclave are among those who have been mentioned by the PM in various episodes of the show.
In a statement, the ruling party BJP said, “Since its inception on October 3, 2014, ‘Mann ki Baat’ has become a national tradition, with the Prime Minister addressing the nation every month, inspiring millions to participate in India’s developmental journey. Since then, it has struck a chord with citizens of India who have reached out to their Pradhan Sevak every month, sharing their achievements, anxieties, happiness and proud moments as well as suggestions for a New India.”
The event will also host personalities from diverse fields including arts, culture, business, sports, social work, health, and others.
Aamir Praises PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat
Aamir Khan called Mann Ki Baat an important initiative through which the leader of the country communicates with the people. He praised the radio show Mann Ki Baat and called it an “important piece of communication”.
In Mann Ki Baat PM Modi addresses various issues that matter to the nation. He even interacts with citizens in the radio programme.
So far, he has mentioned the names of around 700 eminent personalities on the programme, out of which 100 will participate in the conclave.
Aamir was bestowed with the Padma Shri in 2003 for his contribution to Indian cinema. In 2017, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.
Raveena, on the other hand, received the Padma Shri from the Indian government just a few days ago.
