Akshay Kumar: Bollywood superstar Mr Khiladi Akshay Kumar is known for his dashing looks, fitness and his fabulous acting skills. Kumar remains in the headlines for some reason but recently he is in the news for allegedly promoting a practice that leads to a heft number of crimes in the nation.

Is Akshay Kumar promoting Dowry culture?
In a recent advertisement campaign launched by the Government of India for road safety featuring Akshay Kumar has been alleged for promoting the practice of dowry. In an effort to raise awareness of the importance of six airbags in cars, India’s Union Minister Nitin Gadkari posted a video on Twitter on Friday.

The father in the video appears to be saddened by the daughter’s farewell. Acting as a policeman, Akshay Kumar criticised his father for sending a newlywed couple with only two airbags.
Priyanka Chaturvedi, Senior Shiv Sena leader slammed the ad, and tweeted, “This is such a problematic advertisement. Who passes such creatives? Is the government spending money to promote the safety aspect of a car or promoting the evil& criminal act of dowry through this ad?”
