One of the most talented actors in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt is now eyeing Hollywood. The actor has signed with American talent agency WME for U.S. representation in all areas.
Alia Bhatt is the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. She made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar directorial 2012 film Student of the Year and proved her mettle with Imtiaz Ali’s Highway. She has also garnered critical acclaim for her film Raazi and Love You Zindagi. Winner of may accolades, Alia is one of the most bankable actors of her time.
The actor recently concluded shooting of her much anticipated film Gangubai Kathiwadi directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Taking no break in between, she commenced the shoot for her next film titled Darlings produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
The actor took to Twitter to share photos from the sets of Darlings, stating that she is always nervous before starting a new project. “Day one of DARLINGS! my first film as a producer but I will always be an actor first & forever (in this case a very nervous actor). I don’t know what it is. A night before I start a new film I get this nervous tingling energy all over my body. I dream all night about messing up my lines, become jumpy and reach the sets 15 mins before time, fearing I’ll be late! I guess this feeling will never go away.. and it shouldn’t – because being nervous.. and feeling unsure means you really really care 💗💗” she wrote.
Hollywood is not the final destination for B-town actors but an opportunity to explore the global cinema and its range. Bollywood actors including Ali Fazal and Deepika Padukone are already renowned name in Bollywood. Not to forget Priyanka Chopra who can easily be termed as an A lister in Hollywood.
