Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are ready for their first face off. The husband-wife duo will have a clash with their upcoming films Animal and Heart of Stone. Both the films will release on August 11. While Ranbir’s Animal will release in theatres, Alia’s Hollywood debut project will stream on Netflix.
Animal vs Heart of Stone
Alia Bhatt had shared the first glimpse of her film Heart of Stone during Netflix’s Tudum fanfest last year. Now, the actress has dropped the first trailer of the film. Alia shared the details of her film on Instagram revealing that Heart of Stone is scheduled to premiere on February 10. Meanwhile, the release date of Ranbir Kapoor was announced on the New Year.
About Animal
Animal has been directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who forayed into Bollywood with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh. The makers had earlier roped in Parineeti Chopra for the project, who later opted out of it citing date issues. Later, Rashmika Mandanna was brought on board for the film.
Aside from Animal, Ranbir will also be seen in Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar with Shraddha Kapoor. The trailer of the film will be released soon.
About Heart of Stone
Heart of Stone marks Alia Bhatt’s Hollywood debut project. Also starring Jamie Dorman and Gal Gadot, the film will stream on Netflix. Helmed by Tom Harper, Heart of Stone is intended to be the first instalment in the film-franchise that is at par with Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible.
Meanwhile, Alia will be next seen in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is all set to hit the theatres on April 28, 2023. She also has Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, which will also star Katirna Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
