Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat teaser: Following the suspenseful thriller Dobaara, Anurag Kashyap is back with the swoon-worthy musical Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat. The first teaser of the film was unveiled on Thursday with, newcomer Karan Mehta and Alaya F in the lead.

The teaser opens with Alaya portraying a schoolgirl who appears to be smitten with Karan’s character. Gulzar’s poetry and theories on love are heard in the voiceover as our leads fall in love and then break apart. Anurag posted a link to the song Mohabbat Se Hi Kranti Aayegi, which is featured in the teaser. Amit Trivedi has provided the music for the movie.
What Anurag Kashyap said:
“The story of the film has taken shape over the years with my conversations with my daughter and the GenZ, and to realise how our set beliefs and conditioning affect them. To realise that we are migrants to the world today (and) that they are a native too. This feels like a new inning and I am happy that it’s starting with this film,” the 50-year-old filmmaker said in a statement.
Alaya F says ‘can’t wait for everyone to watch our labour of love’
After the premiere, Alaya took to Instagram to express her gratitude. She shared a montage video from the film festival and wrote, “I’ve watched this video a hundred times and still can’t believe it’s real! Thank you for having us @marrakechfilmfestival. it was such a surreal experience premiering our film Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohobbat on the big screen in the middle of Jemaa El Fna Square with all the wonderful people of Marrakech.”
She added, “Can’t wait for everyone back home to watch our labour of love…Thank you thank you thank you! I want to say this was a dream come true but it’s a dream I wouldn’t have even dreamed of dreaming!”
About the film
The Marrakech Film Festival hosted the global premiere of Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat. It was performed outside in Jemaa El Fna Square in Marrakech. Anurag Kashyap expressed his joy at having his film receive its world premiere at the festival.
Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat is expected to release in India in January 2023.
