Amber Heard: One of the most talked-about topics earlier this year was the defamation trial involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The actor ultimately prevailed in the legal action he brought against his ex-wife. The pair’s public feud generated news coverage for days and eventually forced people to look for them. Amber Heard beat her famous exes Johnny Depp and Elon Musk to achieve the feat. Depp might have prevailed in the legal battle, but Amber was the celebrity who received the most Google searches in 2022. The 36-year-old actress has topped the list with an average of 5.6 million searches per month in the US, surpassing other celebrities like Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian, according to the Hollywood news website CelebTattler.

Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, Elon Musk, Tom Brady, and even the late Queen Elizabeth II were all surpassed by Amber Heard. Every month in the US, there were 5.6 million searches for the actress. Johnny Depp, who receives 5.5 million searches each month, is the second most searched A-list celebrity.
In a 2018 Washington Post article, where she identified herself as a victim of domestic abuse, Johnny Depp had been sued by Amber Heard for defamation. The televised trial had cast both celebrities in a bad light at various times over the course of six weeks. Because of the Johnny Depp case, Amber Heard has been in the news every day. She will reportedly be the most searched-for celebrity on Google in 2022, according to a recent report. Every month in the US, there were 5.6 million searches for the actress. Amber was eventually named the top celebrity after tracking more than 150 well-known figures. With 5.5 million monthly searches, Johnny, on the other hand, came in second place.
CelebTattler told The NY Post in a statement, “This year has certainly not been lacking when it comes to celebrity news stories, whether it be Elon Musk taking over Twitter or the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ behind the scenes drama.”
