Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan: In a remarkable departure from his customary ritual, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan welcomed his fans outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, donning footwear this past Sunday, June 25. The veteran actor’s unusual decision was due to painful blisters developed during an on-set incident.

Unveiling the Reason Behind the ‘Shoe’ Surprise

While fans had gathered as usual, waiting eagerly to see their beloved ‘Big B’, they were taken aback by the star’s decision to break his barefoot tradition. As always, he stepped out of his house to greet them, but with shoes. Later, in his blog post, the superstar unravelled the mystery behind this surprise, revealing he had sustained blisters on his feet from shooting barefoot throughout the previous day.

The star, being cautious due to a past instance when similar blisters incapacitated him for an extended period, stated, “There’s a significant change today – shoes. Shooting barefoot all of yesterday led to the development of these painful blisters. I’m taking precautions, so my stride is unchanged, and it will be revered next time around.”

Sundays at Jalsa: A Tradition that Keeps Fans Buzzing

For Amitabh Bachchan’s admirers, Sundays have become a symbol of their favourite star’s generosity and approachability. Bachchan, with his immense popularity and vast fan following, never fails to meet them outside his house at 6 PM every Sunday. These special gatherings have become an iconic tradition, and the star’s choice to appear barefoot had always been an endearing and humble gesture. However, this Sunday was a deviation that left fans and followers surprised yet sympathetic towards their beloved actor.

Big B Keeps Buzzing on the Professional Front

Despite the foot blisters, Amitabh Bachchan’s professional commitments remain unhampered. He is currently filming for Nag Ashwin’s much-anticipated movie, Project K, alongside prominent actors Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. As per reports, approximately 70-75 per cent of the film, laden with impressive graphics and VFX, is complete. The actor has only a few days of shooting left. Besides this, the ‘Shahenshah’ of Bollywood has also resumed work on Section 84, written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, featuring Diana Penty, Abhishek Banerjee, and Nimrat Kaur.
