Ananya Panday is set to make her digital debut with Call Me Bae. As per media reports, the actor will also be seen romancing four actors on screen. Now, as per the latest reports coming in, Varun Sood will be seen sharing screen-space with the SOTY 2 debutant.
Varun Sood to romance Ananya Panday
While an official announcement is yet to be made, Varun Sood may play a vital role in Ananya Panday’s upcoming series Call Me Bae. The Roadies alum will be seen playing the role of a gym trainer in the film, reportedly. A source close to the production house was quoted as saying, “Varun plays a gym trainer in the series. This is supposed to be Varun’s big ticket project. Several actors auditioned for this part, however, it was Varun who landed this character. He will soon sign the dotted lines.”
Neelam Kothari to play Ananya’s mother in Call Me Bae?
Neelam Kothari has also been approached to play Ananya’s mother’s role in the series. It is well known that Neelam and Ananya’s mother Bhavna Pandey are close pals and the two have previously starred together in Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives along with Seema Khan and Maheep Kapoor. However, the source said Neelam isn’t keen on playing Ananya’s mother.
“She didn’t say it in many words that she doesn’t want to play a mother, but we all are assuming that is the reason. We are currently for other actors,” the source adds.
Meanwhile, Neelam told a leading daily that she has no problem in portraying Ananya’s mother’s character. “Things are at a very preliminary stage. I’ve not even read the script yet. All I know is that I’ve been offered to play Ananya’s mother. So I’ve not accepted it or denied it yet. It would be amazing to work with Karan (Johar, producer) gain and play Ananya’s mom,” she said.
