Angelina Jolie: Hollywood star Angelina Jolie was among the high-profile guests, who attended the White House state dinner in Washington DC on Wednesday. The actor’s 21-year old son Maddox, accompanied her for the state dinner hosted by President Biden for South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife Kim Keon Hee.
Jolie, 47, looked elegant in a beige gown with a matching jacket and gold heels, clutch and accessories. On the other side, Maddox sported long and shaggy hair, looking dapper in a black suit with a black coat.
Maddox familiar with South Korea
Maddox, who was adopted by the actor from Cambodia in 2002, is reportedly familiar with South Korea as he studied biochemistry at Yonsei University in Seoul.
Angelina accompanied her son to South Korea to send him off to college in August 2019. However, as the Covid-19 pandemic struck, Maddox’s studies were interrupted. He had to take online classes. He returned to his family home in Los Angeles in March 2020. Angelina opened up about her son’s education in an interview that year.
‘Happy as a family’
“I could not be happier about Mad’s choice of university. It is, of course, closed at the moment because of the pandemic. But he’s not transferring school, he’ll be back as soon as things settle,” Jolie said in 2020. “We are all so happy, as a family, that we will have the opportunity to get to know South Korea even better through Maddox, and with him, during his studies.”
Angelina shares six children with ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt – sons Maddox and Pax, daughters Zahara and Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.
